TAÏLYS PONCIONE
Born in Lyon, Tailys Poncione grew up in Toulouse, France. She began the Classical dance at the age of 4 and followed her first dance lessons in the Sylvie Julhia Private Ballet School for 10 years before joining the National Conservatory of Toulouse.
In 2013, Tailys joined the Training program of the VM Dance Studio and the following year their pre-professional company, VM Ballet. With the VM Ballet, they toured nationally in the
prestigious theaters of the country during 3 years and she danced multiples Word Premiere
creations. During her training, Tailys won several gold medals and special Awards at the CND – Conference National of Dance, Biarritz International Ballet Competition and at the JMS – Je Monte sur Scène.
In 2017, Tailys arrived in New York City to attend, as a guest full scholarship student, the Ballet classes of Igal Perry, Artistic Director of Peridance Capézio Center. The following year, she joined the prestigious Scholarship program of The Ailey School and participated to the Alonzo King Lines Ballet summer intensive and Complexions Contemporary Ballet summer intensive as full scholarship student as well.
Tailys’ opportunities abound : she performed for Vogue Magazine, at the Darley Awards -
private ceremony of the Sultan of Abu Dhabi in the Dolby Theater, Hollywood, at the 25th
anniversary gala of Complexions Contemporary Ballet at the Joyce Theater, XAOC
Contemporary Ballet at the New York City Center, Adams Company Dance, Encounters Dance, B.B.Ballet and regularly collaborates with many brands as a dancer model. More recently, Tailys she toured internationally in the production “Rock The Ballet X” of the acclaimed choreographer Adrienne Canterna, Founder and Artistic Director of Bad Boys of Ballet / Sweet Bird Production.
