TAILYS PONCIONE

Born in Lyon, Tailys grew up in Toulouse, France. She began the Classical dance at the age of 3 at the Sylvie Julhia Ballet School for 10 years before joining the Toulouse National Conservatory of Dance. 

In 2013, Tailys joined the training program of the VM Dance Studio and the following year their pre-professional company, VM Ballet. With the company, they toured nationally in prestigious theaters of France for 3 years and danced multiples world Premiere creations. During her training, Tailys won several gold medals and international awards at the Conference National of Dance, Biarritz International Ballet Competition and Je Monte sur Scene competition.

In 2017, Tailys moved to New York City to attend, as a guest full scholarship student, the ballet classes of Igal Perry (Artistic Director of Peridance Contemporary Dance Company). The following year, she joined the scholarship program at the world-renowned school of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for two years. Tailys also received full scholarships at different summer intensives, including Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, The Ailey School and Biarritz International Ballet.

Tailys’ opportunities abound : She performed for VOGUE Magazine x New York Fashion Week choreographed by Danielle Polanco, at the Darley Awards, sultan d’Abu Dhabi private ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, for the international fashion designer Sophie Reyes, at the 25th Anniversary gala of Complexions Contemporary Ballet as pre-pro in the Joyce Theater, XAOC Contemporary Ballet at the New York City Center, Adams Company Dance, Encounters Dance, Benjamin Briones Ballet and choreographed for different worldwide brands: Asus, Uniqlo and Decatlhon to name a few. 

In addition to these many accomplishments, Tailys danced for the Cuban artist Yoyo Ibarra, « Quédate » music video, and « Story of a Hat » by the Film Director Lesly Lynch (Fashion Film Festival of Chicago winner). Tailys choreographed for a semi-finalist of the German TV show « DAS SuperTalent » and collaborated with many brands as a dancer model such as Flexistretcher, Russian Pointe and Gaynor Minden.

In 2021, she performed for the « Concert of Paris » July 14th on the Eiffel Tower with the world-renowned musician Gautier Capuçon and choregraphed by the Paris Opera Ballet dancer, Sébastien Bertaud. Then, Tailys joined M. Capuçon's summer tour « Un Été en France », and danced in the video clip  « La Fête » by the singer Amir, as well as in different ads campaigns for Société Générale and Cookoon Paris. 

In 2022, Tailys traveled to the other side of the world, to Antarctica, as soloist dancer and Show manager on the brand new cruise ship of the Ponant company « Le Commandant Charcot », performed in the Netflix's movie « Murder Mystery 2 »  with Jennifer Aniston, Mélanie Laurent, Adam Sandler, Adeel Akhtar, John Kani... and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of SweetBird Productions, she participated in the European tour « Rock the Ballet X » in the most prestigious theaters in France, Switzerland and Belgium. 

Later in the year, Tailys danced for singers « Assala » and « Majid Almohandis » at the Riyadh Season Festival (Saudi Arabia) in front of 13,000 people and 110 million viewers broadcast live across The Emirates..

In 2023, Tailys teaches workshops all over the world and is a jury member of international competitions (Les Espoirs de la danse International competition - Montpellier, France) and (Bravissimo International competition - Montreal, Canada). 

For the 23/24 season, Tailys joined "Verb" Ohio Contemporary Ballet, dancing several leading roles in twenty shows and working with renowned choreographers such as Francisco Gella, Laura Alonso, Janice Rosario and Matthew Robert.
